On successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
Summarise historical and contemporary Christian beliefs.
Explain the contribution to Christian thought of several Christian thinkers.
Compare contemporary Christian philosophical theology with some of its historical antecedents.
Illustrate Christian philosophical theology by applying to contemporary Christian life.
This subject examines several different Christian philosophers. The particular beliefs and application of their philosophies to life are reviewed. Consideration is given to their view on the role of the Christian and/or church in the world.
The philosophers shall be chosen from diverse historical periods and Christian traditions. Comparisons will then be made with contemporary Christian thinkers and how this thinking may apply to contemporary Christian life.
