TH250.406 Theological Foundations
On successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
Particular knowledge relevant to the area of study.
Examples might include:
Biblical Studies: A study of key issues in apocalyptic or in the Inter-testamental literature. Theological Studies: A study in the thought of Paul Tillich, or Rosemary Radford Reuther, or Aboriginal Rainbow Spirit Theology.
Particular skills relevant to an area of study.
Examples might include:
Mission Studies: Use of statistical data to shape methods of mission in particular contexts. Ministry: The use of role plays in spiritual formation and community building.
In each area it is anticipated that there will be a range of related issues presented.The aim of this unit is to allow one-off opportunities to study with visiting specialists, in cross-institutional units, or in areas where a unit is only likely to offered once (or is being trialled) to be taken for credit.
This will be a classroom-based taught unit. Lectures, tutorials and seminars will be utilised as appropriate.
This unit may be available in different modes of delivery i.e. online and face-to-face as listed above. The unit content will not differ between these modes of delivery. There will possibly be a difference in the schedule and/or the prescribed assessment tasks, however both will cover and assess the same content.
